Effective August 1, 2026, a 0.25% sales tax increase took effect in Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry, and Will Counties as a result of legislation related to the Northern Illinois Transit Authority (NITA). This increase affects the sales tax collected on general merchandise, qualifying groceries, and certain other taxable sales (and yes, The Daly Bagel falls under these businesses impacted ❤️)
At The Daly Bagel, we make Bagels in the traditional New York style: slow-fermented dough that is boiled, then baked. You'll notice the difference.
